Shannon has extensive experience as a high-level company executive and legal advisor, as well as comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in state regulatory matters.  Most recently, Shannon worked for SAIF Corporation and served as Vice President of Legal, Vice President of Human Resources, and Vice President of Strategy.  Prior to working for SAIF Corporation, Shannon served as an Assistant Attorney General in the General Counsel Division of the Oregon Department of Justice, and before that as an International Trade Law attorney in private practice in Chicago.

Shannon's wide-ranging experience as an internal corporate advisor, and externally advising state agencies and private businesses, gives her unique understanding and skills to assess, analyze, and manage the myriad of complex legal issues facing businesses today, as well as a specific insight into the varied employment law issues that arise for both individuals and businesses.

 

Shannon earned her J.D. in 1999 from Chicago Kent College of Law, with high honors, Order of the Coif, and her B.A., cum laude, in Political Science from the College of Idaho in 1995.  She is admitted to the bars in both Oregon and Illinois.
